Saw two movies yesterday here in Gwangju.
The Dark Knight = AWESOME
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor = Less awesome, but still very fun, as always.
Sometime this week I’m going to try to check out The Good, The Bad, and The Weird, if I can get permission to go into the city. Yes, we have to get permission to leave the premises. It’s absurd, but whatever. I’m getting paid $1,000ish for about 28 hours of work, so I’m not about to complain.
In a few minutes, I head back to Damyang:
It took me an HOUR to figure out how to get over to this tree through the network of walking-ridges through the paddies. Nice as rice paddies are to look at, sometimes trying to make your way through the labyrinth of paths can be really frustrating.
